Hyundai Enjoy The Ride

The Hyundai Motor Corporation is a division of the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group. Its largest manufacturing plant can be found in Ulsan, South Korea and creates over 1.6 million vehicles annually.

Hyundai translates as “modernity” and is pronounced “Hyondae” in Korean. The company logo, a slanted, stylized letter H symbolizes the firm shaking hands with its consumers. Its early beginnings began with Chung Ju-Yung’s establishment with the Hyundai Engineering and Construction Corporation. It was bombed mere months later during the Korean war, but the firm came on its feet inside 50s being distinguished as Korea’s leading construction enterprise. By 1960, Chung shifted his attention on the vehicle marketplace and founded the Hyundai Engine Company in 1967.

It set up an alliance with Ford in a two-year contract to share assembly technologies. It was then that the partnership with Ford that Hyundai gave deliver its very first car or truck, the Cortina, which created its debut in 1974, and the company began exporting it overseas.
